thank you, steve jobs. I just bought an 8 gb iphone for $400, $200 less than they were yesterday.
it was between a new blackberry and a 160 gb new ipod classic to use as an external HD if you will, for a total of most likely $550-600, or an 8 gb iphone plus warranty and case for $540 and just have one device. yeah I'll still need an external at some point down the road, I can't have as many 3rd party apps, and I have to switch to at&t. but it'll be worth it. apple > everything.

welp, i'm glad last week is over! seriously, adjusting to a new job, 40 hours a week at that job, a new apartment & roommate, AND not having toph here for all of it is fucking draining me out.
and on top of it, i had such a financial nightmare... i figured that my loans would be dispersed and able for me to access on the 7th. that definitely didn't happen. i need a bunch of stuff for work and my apartment, but i can't do any of it at all. on top of that, i'm absolutely broke according to my checking account, anddd my chase visa card is maxed out (at 1000) but i can't pay it off because my loans haven't gone through etcccc. so, not wanting to borrow money from my parents again, i called my mom and asked her to overnight me my other visa card that she keeps at home. it currently has $0 balance on it, and an $11,000 limit. that way, i could just use that until my loans went through and just pay it off as soon as they did. so on tuesday, she sent me an overnight package from the USPS. i didn't get it wednesday, not even a notice. flipped out. had toph transfer me in like $45 to hold me over. thursday night, i get home from work, and there's a notice saying they attempted to deliver it. 40 minutes on the phone with the post office later... when my mom sent the package, no one asked her about waiving the signature. so i HAVE to sign for it, they won't leave it otherwise. i wake up an hour early yesterday morning, half jog to the post office a 1/2 mile away... to be told that the carrier has it and i can't pick it up until this morning. i almost started crying, and was almost late to work because of it.
so finally. i went this morning, and i got my fucking credit card.
the irony of the situation is, on monday night i'll be able to pick up a loan check from school, so at this point it's almost irrelevent.
today i am going SHOPPING. like major, major major major shopping.
i need a lot more clothes for work. i need a palm pilot. i need a futon for my room.
i hope cassandra calls me back, i'd love to go to the outlets with her.
also my friend byron from the saoboard got his hands on a second wii, which i'm buying from him. he modded it and is sending it out this week!! i cannot fucking wait.
he got me rayman, warioware, zelda, elebits, trauma center: second opinion, wing island, and mario. i've only played trauma center before, so this should be exciting!!!!!

5 years later, I just took the last exam of my college career!!! HELL. YES.

10/22 - 11/30 - VA ambulatory care (where i work now, but in clinics instead of the pharmacy)
12/1 - 1/13/08- BREAK AGAIN!!! i'll probably be working 40h weeks for most of this
1/21 - 2/29 - doing research with a professor at st elizabeth's hospital
3/10 - 4/25 - clinical informatics research
MAY 2008 I FINALLY GRADUATE
you probably have no idea what this means besides the fact that it rules for me and i am so excited.

One of the most highly anticipated services of 2007 has got to be Virb, a social network from Unborn Media, creators of the widely-praised musical social site PureVolume. Although the founders have been careful to avoid the hype, the testers in the private beta have frequently compared Virb to MySpace, complementing the former on its impressive design and usability.
In short, Virb is what MySpace would be like if it actually worked: a nice design, simple and intuitive navigation and just as much (perhaps even more) customization - not only can you edit all your profile’s colors and fonts in the basic view, but advanced users can edit the css and html, as well as building custom modules (basically snippets of html that make it easier to organize the various items on your page). There’s photo sharing too, of course, plus video-sharing, tagging, groups, comments, messaging and all the other standard features. Coming from the makers of PureVolume, there’s also a strong musical element: a download called Virbtunes works like MOG or Last.fm, tracking the music you listen to in iTunes and making recommendations. And just like on MySpace, bands also have special pages from which you can grab tracks to populate a player on your own profile.
As most of the beta testers have pointed out, it’s pretty impressive. There’s certainly some ill-will towards MySpace in the design and developer communities, and there’s already a buzz generating around the product that’s similar to the niche brand-power of 37Signals. There’s clearly no chance that the majority of MySpacers will switch, but the real question is whether Virb can roll out in time before the users go elsewhere.

my updates are few & far between
and i feel that when i do update it's so cryptic & boring anyway.
none of you read this, stop pretending.
i passed therapeutics 3 with a C+; if i'd gotten 3 more points on my final i'd have gotten a B-, which i was really hoping for.
but at least i'm still class of 2008 so i really can't complain.
i have a final tomorrow morning at 8 am
which should be really easy? but the material is so pointless and boring that i really can't figure out wtf they could ask us to know and what to even remember. i don't even want to read it all the second time
pharmacy management my ass.
i have so many errands to do tomorrow before my flight. packing, showering, post office?
i am so poor and this is not good. sold my high & driving posters, they went for $161. sold the AFI poster...sorta... kid needs to pay me still
